Compact design, excellent for limited space applications
Cradle-Straightener-Feed assembled on common base weldment provides alignment of all units and easy location and installation
with no special foundation. All units are heavy plate welded construction. Base includes provisions for anchoring to floor.
Digital controls and brushless servo motor provides excellent accuracy and repeatability performance.
Measurement wheel with encoder monitors movement of the strip for precise feed length measurement. Actual movement of the
material is measured, not the rotation of the rolls.
Positioning +/- .003, no accumulation error
Press PLS signals for hydraulic automatic release of all rolls for die pilot positioning of material.
Operator console with control panel enables easy threading of the coil from the cradle through straightener and into the die.
Completely wired to operators control console.
Mechanical pass-line 3” (76mm) adjustment
Cradle decoils by brake release and hydraulic drive start.
Press mounting tie-plate provided to assure feed alignment.
Each cradle is equipped with side plates and (2 sets of 4) imbedded vertical rolls to assist in lateral coil guiding.
3 Hydraulically powered rolls assist in turning the outside coil diameter.
The straightener head consists of 9 work rolls in a bank adjustable arrangement along with 2 entry pinch rolls.
All straightening rolls are supported to prevent deflection.
Rolls are ideally centered to maximize straightening capability.
5 Lower work rolls are geared, the upper 4 rolls are idle.
Direct gear drive to work rolls, no chains or belts; gears run in a grease well.
All rolls are hardened 58/60 HRC.
Hydraulic motors control work roll depth settings.
Work roll depth indicated by dial indicators on the front of the straightener as well as digital readouts on the control panel.
Hydraulic head opens wide 8” (200mm) for easy threading of the coil and easy cleaning of the rolls.
§ Heavy-duty dual vertical roller (4 rollers) adjustable stock guides on the entry.
Hydraulic power is provided from unit in base of system.
Hold Down arms on cradle maintains outer
coil wrap when coil bands are removed.
