Precision Loop Control
Powered by an AC motor, the PLC has a variable speed drive system which uses a precision loop arm and a hydrostatic gearbox to regulate the speed of the rotary plate. As the loop arm raises, the speed of the rotary plate increases giving the PLC immediate speed at the small ID and high torque to accelerate full loads. Equally as important, the hydrostatic system acts as a brake to stop the rotary plate quickly without coasting.

PLC/H Heavy Duty Model
The PLC is also offered with a heavy-duty hydrostatic drive system and heavy-duty loop arm for large coils of material. It is ideal for running can-end pull-tab stock on conversion presses due to its immediate stop and start capabilities.

PLC/HS For High Speed Lines
For applications requiring high speed payout, the high speed model (PLC/HS) pays out material at a rate of up to 350 feet per minute.

Fixed Coil ID System

Closure Liner And Glasine Stock

The standard 48" or 63" PLC model works extremely well for thin material like closure liner stock due to carefully regulated speed and delicate pull back on the material. This model can also be easily upfitted with a glasine reel to allow glasine stock to be run simultaneously with the liner stock.
